Here are some rules to make this a nice place for everybody:


No Spamming.
This includes putting links to your web site in the wrong forum.
Posting in the wrong forum.
Posting things that don't make sense.
(You may only spam in the Spam Zone)

No Post Digging
Post digging is posting in topics that have not been posted in for several months. We will allow people to post in these topics if their post is not considered spam, as they may have something interesting to say to revive the topic. However posting spam comments here is the same as everywhere else.

No Advertising
You can only advertise in the spam zone. This means no PM's either. If a thread advertising your forum is somewhere besides the spam zone it won't be moved or locked, it will be deleted. (You must be a Tortimer or higher to advertise in the Spam Zone)

No Bad Language.
Nintendo Addict will have a lot kids in,
we don't want to teach them swearing is good.
So don't do it!

No Double Posting.
Don't double post. Unless nobody posts in your topic for more then 1 day.
Double posting is just like spam. Please use the Edit or Modify button if you are going to be saying something else.

No Fake Posts.
Don't post meaningless things just to raise your post count.
This is not allowed or the forum will not be interesting and just full of meaningless text.

No Aggressive behavior.
Don't shout at each other in topics or don't argue about things.
(Note: you may argue about things, but don't exaggerate or else it will lead to a fight)

Be on top performance.
Always be polite to members and staffs. And they will be polite back to you,
so everyone gets along with each other in the forum community.

Stick around.
Try your best to stay active & post as much as possible.
This isn't so much of a rule, it's more good advice.
Because if everyone stays active, the forum will be more interesting and fun!

No Adult Pictures, Links or Text.
We do not allow inappropriate (text, pictures & links) because there are members of all ages here.
If we see any of that that comes from your account, we will ban you immediately. No porn.
(Note: This is also against Proboard's TOS)

No Insulting People.
Don't insult a person because of their race, religion, etc.
Just keep your insults to yourself.

No Multiple Accounts.
Please do not make multiple accounts.
For no reason, if your getting bored of your account name then sure go ahead.
But don't have accounts just for the fun of it!
(your taking up names people might use) If we find that you did they will be deleted immediately.

Do not ask for personal info
Plain and simple, you know what it is.

Do not argue with staff
Please don't argue with any staff member. They usually know what their doing.

Do not ask to be staff
If you ask, you will lower your chances of becoming staff.

Unsolicited Messaging
Now that we have started our newsletter, this can become a problem. We ask that you do not send any form of messaging or advertising with or without our consent. If there is some information you would like to have included in the newsletter, please use the suggestion thread and the content will be reviewed and accepted/rejected accordingly. If it is accepted, the content will be added by our editors, and only our editors. Please do not make your own newsletters. We don't want to become blacklisted.

Consequences:

If you do not follow these rules the punishments are as follows:
1st Offense: Up to 200 N-Points removal; Warning via PM
2nd Offense: Warning level increase
3rd Offense: Temporary ban (24-hours)
4th Offense: Temporary ban (1 week (7 days))
5th Offense: Permanent ban

If you break one of the big rules like pornography and or pirated software, you will be banned permanently.

Swearing will result in:
1st Offense: 24-Hour ban
2nd Offense: 1-Week ban
3rd Offense: Permanent Ban
(note: this is done by IP address)


If you are new¹ to the forums, you will receive a warning in the form of a PM (personal message) asking you not to continue the behavior along with a link to this page. The new¹ member may only receive one "get out of jail free card" and after that offense, the above actions will be taken.

If the new¹ member swears, posts pornography, or posts pirated software, the above actions will be taken without a free chance.

¹New is specified as a one (1) week (seven (7) day) period of time from the date that the member has joined. This should be enough time for the member to have read these rules. After the one (1) week period of time, the actions mentioned above will be taken without the free chance.
